Julius Turco, 69, Owner Of Elmsford Business

THORNWOOD, N.Y. – Julius A. Turco of Thornwood died Sunday, Aug. 19. He was 69.

Turco was a co-owner and salesman at J.T. Lynne Representatives, a valve supply company in Elmsford, which he managed for 27 years. His family said he was known on the job as a determined and tenacious businessman, but was first and foremost a devoted family man.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son, Richard; four daughters, Donna Lassner, Victoria Turco, Tricia Mazzotta and Kristin Turco; his mother, Angelina; two brothers, Richard and Michael Turco; and seven grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Peekskill. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Julius Turco Memorial Camp Fund, a church-funded program dedicated to providing underprivileged children the opportunity to attend Christian summer camp. Memorial donations may be sent to First Baptist Church of Peekskill, 690 Highland Ave., Peekskill, NY 10566.
