Lawrence J. Faughnan, Sr., 83, Worked For Coca Cola In Elmsford

CUMMING, Ga. - Lawrence J. Faughnan, Sr. of Cumming, formerly of Fleischmanns, N.Y., died Dec. 7. He was 83.

Faughnan was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Staten Island, N.Y., to Richard and Catherine Kelly Faughnan. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a diesel mechanic, driver and heavy equipment operator for Coca Cola in Elmsford, N.Y.

Faughnan is survived by his children, Maureen (Robert) Nelson, of Cumming, Lawrence (Teresa) Faughnan, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Kenneth Faughnan of Peekskill, N.Y., and Christopher (Lisa) Faughnan of Peekskill, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson; sister, Theresa Greene of Fleischmanns, N.Y.; and brothers, Stephen Faughnan of Brick, N.J., and Vincent Faughnan of Yorktown, N.Y. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Marie Faughnan; brothers, William, Richard, Francis and John Faughnan; and sisters, Kathleen Faughnan Church and Rosemary Faughnan.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
