Paraskiewia Telyczka, 89, Of Ardsley, Housekeeper, Ciba Geigy Corporation

YONKERS, N.Y. - Paraskiewia "Patricia" Telyczka (nee Honczar), a longtime Yonkers resident, died Friday, August 2. She was 89.

Telyczka was born May 17, 1924, to John and Anna Bodyk Honczar in Poland where she was raised and educated. She was a housekeeper at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville for many years until her retirement in 1989. Previously, she was a housekeeper at Ciba Geigy Corporation in Ardsley. She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church.

Telyczka is survived by a daughter, Nancy Prusak (William) of Yonkers; sons, John Dziamba (Gina) of Hanover, N.J., Emil Telyczka (Donna) of Yonkers and Roman Telyczka (Yonkers F.D.) (Kathy) of Yonkers; sister, Julia Honczar of Yonkers; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Szymon Dziamba; her second husband, Sam Telyczka.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home and frp, 7 to 9 p.m. at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. Parastas will be Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug 7 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Russian Orhtodox Church. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
