ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Peter V. Guarno of Elmsford died Aug. 25. He was 85.
Guarno was born April 16, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Pasquale and Teresa Guarno. He worked as an auto mechanic in Elmsford for many years, most recently for Wolff & Munier Inc. He was a lifelong member of the American Italian Club in Elmsford.
Guarno is survived by his sons, Gary of Elmsford, Richard (Claire); and daughter, Gail (Dale) Arditi both of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; brother, Ralph; and sister, Rose D'Agostino, both of Elmsford. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
