Philip J. Mosca, 77, Of Ardsley, Insurance Broker

ARDSLEY, N.Y. - Philip J. Mosca of Ardsley died May 7. He was 77.

Mosca was born in Mount Vernon, son of Patsy and Mary Mosca. He served as an MP in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He owned and operated Brokerage Co. Inc., an insurance broker agency in Mount Vernon.

Mosca was a member of the BAC, Local 5 New York for 59 years. He was the past secretary treasurer of the Local. He was a long time member of the Mount Vernon Board of Elections.

Mosca is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Christine (Scott) Zani, Ann Marie Mosca and Heidi Giarlo; two grandsons; daughter in law, Jeanne Marie Mosca; and sisters, Patricia D'Aliso(Christy) and Geraldine Mosca. He was predeceased by his parents; and son, Patrick.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
