Remo DeLaurentis, 79, Of Elmsford

ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- Remo DeLaurentis, a longtime resident of Elmsford, died Wednesday, April 27. He was 79.

He was born in Colledimezzo, Chieti, the son of the late Ersilia (Marchionno) and Federico DeLaurentis. In 1955, he moved to the United States. He was a general contractor until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Gabriel DeLaurentis and his wife Antonella DeLaurentis of Stamford, Conn., Fred DeLaurentis of Elmsford and Sandra Caralyus and her husband Robert Caralyus of Elmsford; four grandchildren, Melissa DeLaurentis, Gabriella DeLaurentis, Robert John Caralyus and Gianna Caralyus; siblings, Aurelia and her late husband, Eduardo Vizioli, late Zita and her late husband, Gustino D'Addario, Mary DiNardo and her late husband, Joseph DiNardo, Anthony DeLaurentis and his wife, Theresa, Joseph DeLaurentis and his wife, Helen; brother-in-law Americo D'Ippolito and his wife, Anna, Dominick D'Ippolito and his wife Lucy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Elmsford.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elmsford Ambulance Corps c/o the Elmsford Fire Department.
