Martino was born July 6, 1937, in Yonkers, to Mary LaFranco and Joseph Martino. He was a police officer for the Yonkers Police Department for 35 years, retiring as captain. He also served in the United State Marines from 1955 to 1959.
Martino is survived by his wife, Dolores; children, Ronald Martino Jr. of Hartsdale and Philomena Martino Smith of Lake Worth, Fla.; brother, Joseph Martino; sister, Peggy Cerbone; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; three sisters; and brother.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
