LACONIA, N.H. - Sally (Sara) Richardson Danz, a former resident of Irvington for almost 50 years and recently living in Laconia, died Monday, Sept. 23. She was 98.
Danz was born in Yonkers, N.Y., to William and Nell Richardson. She worked at Mallory Battery and Harcourt Brace in Tarrytown before becoming secretary to the principal at Irvington High School, a position she held until her retirement in May of 1980. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and a member of the Altar Guild until she moved to live with her daughter in New Hampshire in 2004.
Danz is survived by her daughter, Sally, of Moultonborough; two granddaughters; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Al.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 30 from 11 to 1 p.m. with funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
