Seitz was born in Holton, Maine in 1917, daughter of Reverend Charles H. Bascom and Lesliemae Register. She spent her youth in Florida, studied at the University of Indiana Hospital of Nursing and graduated from Jacksonville Riverside Hospital Nursing School in 1939. She enlisted in the Navy Nurse Corps. After her marriage she was a full-time nurse assistant to her husband, Paul Seitz, in his dental office in Ardsley for over 30 years.
After retirement, she volunteered her time at the Community Hospital at Dobbs Ferry and joined the Ardsley American Legion. She was a member of the Dobbs Ferry Woman's Club.
Seitz is survived by her daughter, Sally "Petie" Seitz.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 22 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at St. Joseph of Arimathea Church, White Plains.
