GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Vivian Gertrude (Mellis) Murray of Greenburgh died Nov. 24. She was 92.

Murray was born in 1922, in Mount Vernon, to Gertrude Adelaide (Doenges) Mellis and William Mellis. She was a resident of Greenburgh for almost 60 years. She worked for several decades as an executive secretary for the Greenburgh N.Y. School District #7 at both Woodlands High School and at Webb School in Hartsdale.

Surviving her are her son, John E. Murray of Annapolis, MD, daughter Judith L. Barbosa and son-in-law James A. Barbosa of Guilford, CT, as well as grandchildren Colin (Traci) Murray of Aldie, Va., Melissa Murray of Bluemont, Va., Jessica Barbosa of Stamford, Conn., and Jennifer Barbosa of New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Creighton E. Murray.

Calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains. Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 at the funeral home followed by burial at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
