72 Motorists Ticketed In Westchester Police Detail

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- New York State police conducted a special traffic enforcement in an effort to slow drivers down Thursday in Mount Pleasant on the Sprain Brook Parkway, according to New York State Police.

Held from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m., the enforcement, which netted drivers 72 tickets, also looked for aggressive drivers and those using cellphones, said New York State Police Sgt. William Dexter.

The tickets included:

  • Speed Arrests: 48
  • Other V&T Law Arrests: 13
  • Texting While Driving Arrests: 8
  • Cell Phone Arrests: 3
  • Total Tickets Issued: 72
