From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the Irvington Police Department conducted the emphasis detail with the assistance of the Westchester County Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, New York State Department of Transportation and the Westchester County Waste Management Agency.
In total, 75 summons were issued to drivers, and one person was arrested for driving with a suspended license. One vehicle was impounded and four trucks were taken out of service. Additional details are planned for later this year.
