Croton Man Charged With DWI In Sprain Brook Parkway Stop

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A Croton-on-Hudson resident was arrested Monday night, Oct. 27, with driving while intoxicated, New York State Police said.

About 8:45 p.m., Viorel Chirila, 64, was driving near the Sprain Brook Parkway and failed to exercise due care for an emergency vehicle, police said.

Police determined Chirila was intoxicated; the suspect is scheduled to appear in the Greenburgh Town Court on Friday, Nov. 7.
