The open houses will take place on April 27 and 28.
“Stop by to meet your local firefighters, see some of the equipment used daily and experience a chance to try some of the gear on,” the department posted on the village website. “Learn what it’s like to be a volunteer firefighter or EMS responder. Ask us how you can help make our community better.”
The department is co-sponsoring the event with the Fireman's Association of the State of New York.
Members of the Elmsford Fire Company No. 1 will host an open house Saturday at 144 East Main Street. Members of the Live Oak Engine Company No. 1 will host an open house on Sunday at 5 North Lawn Avenue.
Both sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
