Elmsford Police Rescue Workers Trapped In Elevator

ELMSFORD, N.Y. – The Elmsford police and fire departments were dispatched to a business on Taxter Road at 7:20 a.m. Monday after receiving a call that people were trapped inside an elevator. All were safely rescued.

• A South Hillside Avenue resident called Elmsford police to report people loitering in his neighborhood Monday during the mid-afternoon. The area was clear when officers arrived.

• A woman called Elmsford Police late Sunday evening to report that her friend was staying at the Saw Mill River Motel and was worried about her well-being. Officers were sent to the motel and spoke with the woman. No further details were provided by police.
