Greenburgh Man, 65, Charged With Marijuana Possession

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — A 65-year-old Greenburgh man has been charged with possession of more than 2 ounces of marijuana, Greenburgh police said.

Ronald Postell was arrested Friday on one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. An officer saw Postell make what appeared to be several drug deals in his car outside his Manhattan Avenue home, according to the police report.

Police said he drove off and was pulled over after he made two U-turns and crossed the double yellow lines. Officers said they could smell marijuana as they approached Postell's vehicle, and that Postell showed them two small bags of marijuana from the car's center console and a sandwich bag of marijuana from his pocket.

Police said Postell also told them he had more marijuana in his home, where a search turned up two sandwich bags totaling two ounces of marijuana in the man's bedroom.

• Police charged three Bronx women with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor, after finding them in possession of stolen merchandise from Michael's, 319 N. Central Ave., Hartsdale.

Keisha Elliott, 33, was pulled over Thursday for allegedly speeding, and police saw passengers Aminah Moody, 31, and Markia Hatch, 30, try to cover the Michael's merchandise. Police said Michael's security footage and an employee confirmed that Elliott exited the store with a shopping cart containing merchandise worth $362.

Michael Gehrung, 67, of Patterson, was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, Tuesday night. According to police, Gehrung was escorted out of the Hartsdale H-Mart, 371 N. Central Ave., for allegedly harassing female employees and punching the security guard, an off-duty Greenburgh police officer.

Police are searching for the person or persons who stole $1,500 worth of merchandise from Choice Pet Supply, 241 N. Central Ave. According to the store's manager, the theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Jan. 14 and 10 a.m. Jan. 15.

Police are searching for a male caught publicly masturbating Monday on security footage at Cerbone of Naples Pizza, 413 Tarrytown Road. Restaurant employees were not able to identify the man, police said.
