Greenburgh Man Charged After Dispute With Woman

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A 32-year-old Greenburgh man was charged Wednesday with two felonies after a dispute between him and a woman, Greenburgh police said.

Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. to the woman's residence on Oak Street. She told police that she and Dwane Wilson, 32, began arguing inside her apartment and he stole money from her purse. She also said that he grabbed her arm in an attempt to stop her from calling the police, but she was holding an iPod, not a phone, which was damaged.

She said Wilson had left the apartment, heading south. Police searched the area and apprehended Wilson in a backyard on Florence Avenue. The woman identified him, and he was arrested.

Wilson was charged with robbery, a felony; and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. He also was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after officers said they found 17 bags of an unidentified drug, believed to be PCP.

Wilson was arraigned and was scheduled to appear in Greenburgh Town Court.
