Greenburgh Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh police made an arrest in two burglaries that occurred in the Greenburgh Central 7 schools in May.

Former Greenburgh Schools employee Charles Gerardi was arrested Thursday in Yonkers at his place of employment and charged with two counts of Burglary in the third degree, a class D felony.

Gerardi was arraigned before Greenburgh Justice Walter Rivera and was released on $5,000 bail. He is due back in Greenburgh Town Court on Thursday June 13 at 9:30 a.m.

The Greenburgh Central 7 administration contacted the police Wednesday concerning two burglaries that occurred at Woodlands High School on May 11 and May 18. It is alleged that Gerardi entered the administration building located at the school utilizing keys that he unlawfully obtained. The suspect allegedly stole gasoline and custodial products during the burglaries.

An unidentified Greenburgh 7 employee suspected of giving Gerardi his keys has been determined
