SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Scarsdale man was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment after he reportedly doused a nearby resident's deck, back yard and part of the home with gasoline, Greenburgh police said on Thursday.
Brendan James Stahn of Ardsley Road in Scarsdale, was arrested on Monday by members of the Greenburgh Police Special Victims Unit.
In addition to the felony reckless endangerment charge, Stahn was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, also a felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
Police said that Stahn, in violation of a criminal court order of protection, allegedly entered a property about a block away from where he resides and doused the neighbor's back yard, deck, propane grill, grill cover, exterior air conditioning unit, walkway, and the rear of the house with gas, police said.
Stahn was arraigned in Greenburgh Town Court and was being held at Westchester County Jail.
