Greenburgh Police Charge Driver In Road Rage Incident

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh Police arrested a 21-year-old Yonkers man Saturday after a road rage incident in the vicinity of South Central Ave. in Hartsdale.

According to a report by Greenburgh Police Detective Sargeant Frank Pumillo Sunday, Anthony Delrosario was arrested after allegedly breaking the window of an automobile and assaulting its driver after the men argued.

Greenburgh Police were called to the scene at approximately 4:30 Saturday.

The police report said Delrosario, the driver of one car, and two men in another car argued over a traffic dispute when Delrosario allegedly left his car and broke the windshield of the other vehicle. The victim left his car to record the suspect's license number when the suspect allegedly struck him then attempted to drive away.

Police said the victim held on to Delrosario's car for approximately 300 feet before falling to the pavement. The driver suffered minor injuries and the car fled the scene going southbound on Central Ave.

After an investigation revealed that Delrosario was the driver, he was arrested and charged with two felonies; Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree; and two misdemeanors; Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident.

Delrosario was held overnight and arraigned Sunday in Greenburgh Court. He was released on $2,500 bail and is due back in court Tuesday.
