Greenburgh Police Task Force Make Felony Drug Arrests

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force made two felony drug-related arrests Tuesday in Tarrytown after a short investigation, police said.

Following an investigation, the task force found a Pleasantville resident with a large quantity of narcotics, according to Tarrytown Police.  Ronnie Bordin, 55, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony.

The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Village of Pleasantville Police Department searched Bordin’s home and found a large amount of marijuana and cash, Tarrytown Police said.  The investigation will continue and additional charges may be filed, according to police.

Later that day, the task force arrested and charged Igor V. Kaplunovsky, 51, of Narrowsburgh, N.Y. around 5 p.m. at Tarrytown’s Bridge Plaza Shopping Center on South Broadway.  He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.

Kaplunovsky was found to be in possession of approximately 4.5 pounds of marijuana, police said. Bordin was found to be in possession of numerous narcotic pills, marijuana and more than $8,000 in cash, said police.

A search of Bordin’s home yielded approximately 6.5 pounds of marijuana and approximately $ 346,000 in cash, according to officials.

Both Bordin and Kaplunovsky were remanded to Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.
