A Brewster woman called police Sunday at 8 p.m. and said her white Mercedes S50 had been stolen from a Marriott parking lot. The stolen car, valued at $45,000, was reported as fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, police said.
The woman told police the car was stolen between 6:30 and 8 p.m. at the Marriott, 670 White Plains Road. She said she had her keys on her at the time of the call, police said. The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
On Monday, police responded to a call from a White Plains family who said a number of valuable watches were taken from their home during an estate sale the previous week.
A woman told police that the estate sale was operated by the company "2 Much Stuff 4 Me" on Oct. 20 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and that nine of her husband's watches were stolen from their bedroom closet. The watches were in a cigar box underneath a pile of clothes in the closet, which had a "Do Not Enter" sign taped on it, according to police reports.
In total, the watches were worth more than $9,000, police said. The woman and her told police there were many people in their house that day during the event, including employees of the company, but that she did not observe interested buyers in her bedroom, only the company's employees.

Scheme to Defraud: A Tarrytown man reported to police on Oct. 18 that an unknown person collected $750 from him, saying they represented Con Edison. The suspect called the man and told him there was a transaction problem on his electric bill, and that he would have to re-pay the company using a GreenDot MoneyPak card.
The man followed the suspect's instructions, but the suspect called back several times saying there were additional problems and that he would have to continue with more payments, police said. After several phone calls, the man reported the incident to police. Police are still investigating the second-degree scheme to defraud, a misdemeanor.
Suspicious Incident: Two White Plains woman reported a suspicious incident in their apartment complex to police on Monday.
A woman arrived to her home on Wyndover Woods Lane around 7:30 p.m. to observe that her window screen was on the floor outside her home and her door draft stopper was laying outside, police said. Her neighbor said she saw another woman exit a cab and knocked on multiple apartment doors looking for the boyfriend of a woman who lives there, according to police reports.
The neighbor told the suspect there were no males living in the apartment and she walked away, police said. Police are documenting the incident.
