Hartsdale Man Slashes Neighbor In Money Feud: Cops

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A Hartsdale man allegedly slashed his neighbor in the face Sunday after the two got into a fight over money, police said.

William Harris, 65, was arrested Sunday after Greenburgh police said they found his neighbor bleeding from cuts to his face and hands.

Police said they responded to 296 Chatterton Parkway just after 3:40 p.m. following a call reporting that a man in a downstairs apartment had been stabbed. Cops said they found the 51-year-old victim with slashes on his face and stab wounds on his hands.

Police said the victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center, where his injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening, police said.

Harris, who police said was found on the second floor of the apartment, was charged with first-degree assault, a felony; and arraigned in Town of Greenburgh Court. He was sent to Westchester County Jail, where he awaited a court appearance.
