The fire started at approximately 2:37 a.m. at 47 Riverdale Avenue. The fire started in the victim's sixth floor apartment kitchen, the fire department said.
Responders found the man in the hallway and attempted to perform CPR before he succumbed to his injuries, the fire department said.
Both the fire department and Yonkers PD are investigating the fire. Authorities suspect the man may have been trying to heat his home using his stove, the fire department said.
