Greenburgh police said four minor injuries were sustained during the accidents, and no deaths were reported.
Police received 290 storm-related calls from Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday. On Hillside Avenue near Virginia Road, a tree caught fire from a wire that broke loose from the heavy snow around 2 p.m. Wednesday, causing power outages to 36 more residents. No injuries were reported, police said.
There were 19 power outage complaints throughout the storm, but police could not discern whether the outages were new or ongoing from Hurricane Sandy.
Police also received 24 DPW-related calls about trees and branches down and two additional reported fires that were wire-related.
