Bronxville Police received a call on Wednesday afternoon from an employee at St. Joseph’s School who reported that the building was on lockdown because an unknown man entered the building on unknown business and they were unable to locate him.

Officers from the Bronxville and Tuckahoe Police Departments were dispatched to the school, where they conducted a thorough search of the building, which determined that the man had left prior to their arrival.

The investigation is ongoing, though police said that they do not believe that the man was intent on engaging in criminal activity.
