Graffiti consisting of the letters “KKK” was discovered near the tennis courts at high school this past weekend, prompting a response from police, local and school officials.
According to a scarsdale10583.com report, there was also a homophobic slur and images of genitalia spray-painted on school grounds. A photo of the graffiti can be found on their website.
An investigation has been launched by police, and Scarsdale High School Principal Kenneth Bonamo addressed the situation in a letter distributed to parents condemning the graffiti and its meaning. Police said that the incident is being handled as a case of criminal mischief.
Anyone with information regarding the graffiti or the person that may have tagged the school can contact police in Scarsdale by calling (914) 722-1200.
