Rajesh Jagarnauth, 41 and  Bruce Mateo-Liz, 38, of the Bronx were arrested after police responded to a report of burning electrical wires at 718 Ardsley Road. The Ardsley Fire Department also responded, and reported to police that two men had been seen running from the home and into nearby woods, police said.

Ardsley police searched the area and located the two men. The house was checked due to concerns that a crime had occurred, or people were still in the residence. That's when police came upon an extensive marijuana grow house, police said.

Greenburgh detectives and members of the Street Crime Unit and Drug and Alcohol Task Force executed a search warrant and recovered some 300 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $1.8 million dollars and equipment to grow marijuana indoors, police said.

Neither man is on the lease of the rental home, said Lt. Frank Farina.

"We are investigating the occupancy of the home," he added.

Jagarnauth and Mateo-Liz were charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Jagarnauth was also charged with having a fake driver's license from the Domincian Republic, Farina said.

They are being held at the Westchester County Jail.
