Police: Teen Girl Sexually Assaulted On Hastings Waterfront

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Village of Hastings and Westchester County police are searching for a teen accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at the Waterfront Park Thursday.

The victim, who was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, told officers that she was assaulted by a man around noon, police said. Police had located the girl at Harvest on Hudson Restaurant on River Street. She described her attacker as a teenage male, police said.

Hastings Police searched the waterfront area and around the business district of the village with assistance from the Westchester County aviation, canine units and Dobbs Ferry police. “Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the fact that it is very active, there will be no further information released at this time,” Hastings police said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Hastings police at 914-478-2344.
