Greenburgh police responded to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel at 475 White Plains Road around 1:50 a.m., after receiving a call from the hotel about a large and unruly party in one of the rooms, said Sgt. Robert Whiting of the Greenburgh Police Department.

The hotel had evicted the guests who had rented the room for the party and upon the officers' arrival, seven of the partygoers were seen getting in a vehicle. As the officers approached they could smell marijuana, police said.

During an investigation into the car's passengers, police found that Miles Nathaniel Dickerson, 19, of Yonkers was in possession of marijuana. He was charged and issued an appearance ticket.

They also discovered that Jeremy Alford, 28, of Pickens, S.C., was in possession of a loaded handgun. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and held pending a court appearance.
