Suspect At Large After 30-Year-Old Shot, Killed At His Home In Yonkers

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that took the life of a 30-year-old man at his home in Westchester.

Police were dispatched to Riverview Place in Yonkers shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, where there were reports of a man down. Upon arrival, they found Yonkers resident Dymere Graham lifeless, with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

Paramedics responded to the scene, Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said, but Graham was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting an investigation by Yonkers detectives.

Police canvassed the area and spoke to witnesses, and the preliminary investigation determined that Graham died at the scene and he may have been targeted. Politopoulos said the shooting was not a random event. There were no reports of shots fired and no arrests have been made.

Politopoulos said that Graham’s body is now in the possession of the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. No other information is expected to be released. It was not clear if a suspect has been identified.
