DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Two people escaped serious injury on Tuesday afternoon after a car struck a utility pole in Dobbs Ferry, police said.

Village of Dobbs Ferry police, firefighters and emergency medical services units were called to the corner of Ashford Avenue and Broadway (Route 9) about 1 p.m.

Police said the driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries. No tickets were issued.
