Two Port Chester Women Among Four Killed In Sprain Parkway Crash

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Two Port Chester women and two Connecticut men -- three of them teenagers -- were identified as the four people killed early Sunday morning in a fiery crash on the Sprain River Parkway in Greenburgh, New York State Police reported.

The operator has been identified as 19-year-old Bruno Vaccarezza, of Cos Cob (Greenwich), Conn.; the front seat passenger as 19-year-old Fernanda Gomez, of Port Chester; and the rear passenger seated on the driver’s side as Juliana Restrepo, 18, of Port Chester, the preliminary investigation found.

Vincent Mendoza, 20, of Norwalk, was seated in the rear seat, on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The car left the Sprain Parkway near Underhill Road in Greenburgh, drove along a grassy shoulder and then struck a bridge abutment at the overpass before 5:40 a.m., state police said. Police cited speed as a possible cause.

Investigators believe Vaccarezza rented the 2013 silver Volkswagen Golf at an Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Stamford, Conn., on Aug. 12 after being involved in a previous accident, Lohud.com reported .
