Police said the following were arrested early Saturday, Nov. 29, at a sobriety checkpoint conducted on the northbound Bronx River Parkway at the Oak Street exit ramp in Mount Vernon:
- Jarett Rodriguez, 26, of Cabot Avenue, Elmsford, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, at 1:03 a.m.
- Wilson Logan, 48, of Stamford, Conn., was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, at 1:24 a.m.
- Julius Dupree, 44, of North Bleeker Street, Mount Vernon, was charged with DWI/combined drugs and alcohol and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, at 1:24 a.m.
- Jeffrey Marquez, 44, of Hughes Avenue, Bronx, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:24 a.m.
- Benjamin Bronstein, 19, of Vernon Road, Scarsdale, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:11 a.m.
- Kyle Hughes, 20, of John Brown Road, Katonah, was charged with DWI at 2:34 a.m.
Also arrested Saturday were:
- Shawn Gomes, 21, of South Fifth Avenue, Mount Vernon, was charged with DWAI drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors and unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:45 a.m. at a sobriety checkpoint on the ramp connecting the northbound Bronx River Parkway to the eastbound Cross County Parkway in Mount Vernon.
- Miguel Munoz, 41, of North Bergen, N.J., was charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana at 4:08 a.m. at a sobriety checkpoint on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway at the westbound Cross County Parkway in Mount Vernon.
- Richard James, 34, of Astor Avenue, Bronx, was charged with DWI at 4:54 a.m. after he was found asleep at the wheel of his car on the Palmer Road exit ramp from the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers.
- On Sunday morning, Miguel Calderon, 34, of Lincoln Avenue, New Rochelle, was charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, at 1:08 a.m. following a traffic stop on eastbound Mamaroneck Avenue in Harrison.
