Abinanti Defeats Duffy In Greenburgh's Assembly District Race

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Incumbent Thomas Abinanti (D-Pleasantville) defeated challenger Republican Mike Duffy to win a third term in the assembly.

Abinanti defeated Duffy 20,765 votes to 12,787 votes, 62 percent to 38 percent, according to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board Of Elections with 100 percent of districts reporting.

At one point, due to a malfunction at the Board of Elections site, Duffy was said to be winning by razor thin margin with 100 percent of districts report. 

Abinanti, a former Westchester County legislator is a resident of Pleasantville and was running for a third term, while Duffy, a lawyer, lives in Mount Pleasant.

The 92nd Assembly District represents Mount Pleasant and Greenburgh.
