GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A plan to phase in property reassessments is meeting some resistance in Greenburgh, according to lohud.com.

A bill working its way through the state Legislature would allow county municipalities to phase in reassessments, lohud.com said.

Some homeowners in Greenburgh would receive savings as their homes have been overvalued for years, while more affluent towns like Hastings-On-Hudson and Irvington would see their values spike, reported lohud.com.

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner is pushing for the bill's passage, saying that local owners need to understand that other towns have overpaid for years, lohud.com noted.
