Driver hospitalized after car slams into Ridgewood tree

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Police believe a medical condition may have been responsible for a car careening off the road and slamming into a tree right outside a Ridgewood home earlier today.

Members of the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the driver of the Honda Accord to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for treatment of minor wrist and facial injuries after the Super Bowl Sunday crash in the 900 block of East Ridgewood Avenue.

No summonses were issued, although the crash remained under investigation.
