Alexia Tretter, 25, of Catasauqua, is accused of causing “deadly high levels” of nicotine and cotinine in her son after giving him vape oil during a several-day stay at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township between Feb. 26 and March 3, LehighValleyLive reports citing court records.

Tretter’s son had a 190 bpm heart rate and was suffering from “seizures, coughing, gagging and throwing up” as a “direct result of ingestion of vape oil,” the report says — meanwhile, Tretter was arraigned Wednesday and released on $25,000 unsecured bail pending a May 27 preliminary hearing.
