GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Edgemont schools and Solomon Schechter School in Hartsdale canceled school for Monday in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy's projected path.
The district announced the decision Sunday, citing Monday's forecasted weather in the region. A decision on the status of school Tuesday will be made early Monday, the district said.
According to the latest projections, Hurricane Sandy is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rainfall into New York late Sunday or early Monday, with the bulk of the storm slamming the region early Tuesday.
