Edgemont School District Again Ranked Top District In Nation

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- When it comes to education in the United States, the Edgemont Union Free School District gets all A’s for the second straight year.

TheStreet.com ranked the Edgemont School District as the No.1 district in the nation for the second consecutive year.

TheStreet.com has unveiled its list of the best school districts in the United States, including the Edgemont Union Free School District, which ranked No. 1.

Rankings are determined using data from government and public data sets, the website’s own proprietary data and more than four million opinion-based survey responses from more than 280,000 students, recent alumni and parents.

Edgemont scored an A+ for academics, an A for student culture and diversity and an A for resources and facilities. The school district of 1,911 students averaged SAT scores of 670 on math, 650 on reading and 680 on writing, as well as an average of 31 on the ACT. The school district is considered 69 percent proficient in math and/or reading by state standards.
