Elmsford Schools Host Annual Arts Show April 29 To June 1

ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- The Elmsford School District will host an opening reception for the 20th District Art Show on Tuesday, April 29.

The Elmsford Union Free District's 2014 Art Show will run through June 1. Art teachers Leah Sanft, of Grady Elementary School, and Tom Blondel, of Alexander Hamilton High School, have "worked very hard with our students to inspire creativity and a love of the arts," school officials said in a press release. Mediums on display will include water color, charcoal drawings and papier-mache.

"Opening Night is sure to be a blast for all ages," district officials said. "Students will be on hand to discuss their artwork and musicians from AHHS will perform throughout the opening."

The Hamilton Select Players will play during the evening. Light snacks will be made available courtesy of the AHHS home and careers student participants.
