Elmsford Student Receives Hudson Valley Music Club Award

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Alexander Hamilton High School sophomore Peter Flemister was among five Westchester area students to receive a Hudson Valley Music Club Award this week.

Flemister, a talented pianist, received the award during a special public concert sponsored by the Hudson Valley Music Club and held at the Dobbs Ferry Women's Club Monday.

Flemister is a student of Efrim Briskin, the artistic director of the Summit Music Festival, New York's Summer Institute for Intensive Chamber Music and Instrumental Training.

The HVMC has been sponsoring a student award competition for Westchester high school students for several years with aauditions held in March and the winners receiving an honorarium and the opportunity to perform at the club during a special awards ceremony.
