Greenburgh Central School Students Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The Lee J. Jackson Elementary School in the Greenburgh Central School District observed Peace Week and honored Martin Luther King, Jr. with readings, songs and sharing assemblies last week.

Teachers spent Friday, Jan. 17, speaking to their students on the teachings and work of King. When kindergartner Donovan Russell’s teacher asked him why we celebrated King, he answered, “Because he changed the world.”
