Greenburgh Observes National Parent Involvement Day

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Mystery readers, coffees with parents, school building tours and an evening event, Dessert with the Superintendent, were among the activities hosted by the Greenburgh Central School District on Thursday to observe National Parent Involvement Day.

Parents who toured the schools learned more about their children’s curriculum, watched classes in action and saw the district’s infusion of 600 Chromebook laptops this year.

They saw guitars stored in the high school music room, evidence of a new guitar class that kicked off this year. And they listened to the district’s younger students practicing their school song.

The day was capped off by a standing-room-only dessert and coffee event with Superintendent of Schools Tahira Chase and her administrators, held at the Greenburgh campus administrative building, also known as the Mansion.
