"Footloose" follows the conflict of a teen from the city who moves to a small town and challenges a local preacher who leads a ban against dancing as a way of controlling local youth.

The musical was written by playwrights Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie and was based on the movie of the same name. It was first performed in 1998.

Hamilton student Chris Clough, who plays the Reverend Shaw, said tickets for the performances are going fast. "It's a really fun, dance-filled, high energy show that is sure to please all ages," Clough said. "Be sure to bring your dancing shoes because Alexander Hamilton High School will have you rockin' the aisles."

Tickets are proced at $5 and are available via email to Tickets@ELMSD.org.
