Hartsdale's Woodlands Middle School Hosts Fundraiser With Harlem Wizards

HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- The Harlem Wizards are coming to Hartsdale for a basketball game and fundraiser at the Woodlands Middle School.

The Falcons middle school is hosting a basketball game between the Harlem Wizards and teachers and staff in the district at 7 p.m., Friday, May 16, at the Woodlands Middle School/High School gym.

Middle School math teacher Maria Pearson, the Student Activities Director, said the competition is heating up for the game, which serves as a fund-raiser for the upcoming annual eighth-grade trip to Philadelphia.

"The Harlem Wizards are coming to Greenburgh and are playing against teachers, staff and administrators from each of the district's schools as well as officers from the Greenburgh Police Department and firefighters from Fairview," Pearson said. 

The Wizards game fans see amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy.The athleticism, tricks, fancy teamwork and ball-handling wizardry, plus wild dunks not even seen in NBA games, engages and wows the most avid hoops fans.
