GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Highview School in Greenburgh held its Winter Solstice celebration on Monday, with youngsters performing the "Mummer's Play," the "North Skelton Sword Dance" (with wooden "swords"), a folk dance called "Kings and Queens," a solo Indian dance and other numbers, many with a touch of British folk history.

The solstice celebration also featured guest artist Cate Sandstrom performing on the violin and reading teacher Michael McHale on the guitar.

The performances were all conducted by music teacher Peter Roberts.
