"I know this was a difficult decision for her," said Valhalla Superintendent Brenda Myers. "She loves Virginia Road and she has worked endlessly to make our K-2 program a shining star among public schools in Westchester County. We wish her much happiness and a well-deserved retirement."
Myers stressed that the principal's position is a very important role in the district and that the administration will conduct a comprehensive search for the right leader during the winter and spring.
In January, the district will begin a search process and will ask for volunteers from the school and community to participate in focus groups and interviews.
