Marionettes Show Tickles Students at Lee F. Jackson School

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Tanglewood Marionettes of Massachusetts visited the Lee F. Jackson School in Greenburgh last week, and had youngsters laughing and gasping as the puppeteers told the story of Cinderella using large hand-crafted marionettes and a colorful changing set.

Students also watched an introduction to how marionettes and hand puppets work to tell a story. The puppetry group travels around the country performing at schools, fairs, festivals, libraries and theaters, and is the recipient of two UNIMA awards, puppetry’s highest honor, for its productions of An Arabian Adventure and The Dragon King.
