Names Submitted for Edgemont BOE Consideration

EDGEMONT, N.Y. – Three names were submitted to the Edgemont School Board Nominating Committee on Wednesday night to be considered for two spots on the Edgemont Board of Education.

The SBNC accepted letters of recommendation from residents for Jennifer Darger, Lisa Wexler and Brian Yarrington. Wexler, of Barclay Road, was recommended for a second term on the board, and both Darger, of Sherwood Place, and Yarrington, of Evandale Road, were recommended for a first term.

"The SBNC accepted the letters with great appreciation of the willingness of all three candidates to serve Edgemont's schools and community," said SBNC Chair Mark Ackerman.

The SBNC is seeking comment from Edgemont residents concerning the candidates. All comments should be submitted by March 1 in writing to Marc Ackerman, SBNC Chair, 101 Moorland Drive, Scarsdale, NY 10583, mackerman@omm.com. Comments must be attributable, because anonymous comments will not be accepted, and will be kept confidential within the SBNC.

The SBNC interviews and investigates those residents placed into nomination and recommends candidates to voters for the school board election in May.
